I miss you to the moon and back

Chelsie’s Star is a poem about A MOTHERS GRIEF. In remembrance of my special girl!

This emptiness I am feeling
It rarely goes away
Not sure how I made it
Through another day.

Reminders are everywhere
No matter where I go
I cannot get past that dreadful day
We said goodbye there in the snow.

Your smile is all around me
There is magic in your eyes
I wonder are you with me now
And disappointed when I cry?
Somehow, I always knew
I had you on borrowed time

You had faith in my strength
I put on a pretty good show
All the pretending went away
The day you had to go.

You taught me true love
And you taught me true pain
You gave me something to fight for
You did not go in vain.

I hope that I make you proud
In little things I do
You knew I would love your kids
The way that I love you

Of course, I love them fiercely
They all act just like you
It breaks my heart they won’t know their mom
The way that we all do.
You didn’t get to watch them grow
I know how bad you wanted to.

I hold it all together
On faith we’ll meet again
Surely that was not the only time
I had with my best friend

Your brother misses you terribly
Though he tries not to let it show
After all you were his “kepper”
We will never let that go!

I find some comfort in where you are
GOD has placed you not too far
Every clear night sky we get
We see you in the stars.

My heart still aches for you
There’s a hole there to keep you close
Chelsie, I know you love me
But I love YOU the most!
