The Endocannabinoid System and CBD

Unless you have been exploring a cave for the last six months, you have probably heard something mentioned about CBD oil. It helps to know, that CBD is short for cannabidiol, and is just one of many cannabinoids that make up the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system was only discovered in the last fifty years and was discovered during a study of the Hemp plant. The system is literally found in every living thing on this planet except insects. Since the discovery is still so new scientists are expecting to learn more encouraging informaton in future research and as Hemp and CBD are more accepted more trials should be approved.

Hemp, A drug?

We have all been conditioned to think of hemp as a drug that will get you high in any form. I mean, it is a class 1 scheduled narcotic, right? Marijuana is listed right below heroin and the definition includes Hemp , CBD and THC. To be considered a schedule 1 narcotic the drug has to have shown no medical value. The problem with that is there have been thousands of studies over the years that prove otherwise. Although more research is needed in human trials the results are more than promising already.

High CBD, Low THC

CBD oil is made by a process that extracts the cannabis from the plant and then it can be made into oils, edibles, etc. The hemp plant is typically used for CBD products because it has a higher production of CBD than THC and most states require less than .03% THC. This means, the extremly low THC content in Hemp and CBD will NOT get you high! Not to mention, the therapeutic possibilities seem to be endless, including treatment for everything from anxiety and substance abuse disorders to chronic pain and diseases of the central nervous system.

What to look for when purchasing CBD oil:

  • Less than .03% THC
  • no fillers or additives in extraction
  • CO2 extraction is the best method
  • lab tests should be posted for transparency
  • The amount you should take and the potency is different for each person and needs to be established by taking small drops through the day until you have achieved your maximum effect.

Healthy NOT High

As of this update CBD is officially no longer a scehduled substance. I encourage you to do some research and get started on working on your cannabis plan for holistic wellness. I am happy to answer any questions by email or use the contact form on this page.

I do distribute the oil myself but in no way want to try to sway you to purchase mine. You are welcome to check out my site, learn a little bit more about the product, see lab testing reports and register as a preferred customer at  www.jennshappyhemp.com. While you are there you can also get information about the  Affilliate Opportunity and even distribute it yourself.

I cover the opportunity in depth on the CBD home page: Jenns Happy Hemp – CBD Oil (Cannabidiol)

Happy Hemping!
